Christmas in Mantua

It’s beginning to look and feel a lot like Christmas in Mantova.

Christmas decorations in the town centre.

When it’s not raining, people wrap up and go for a walk in the old town centre.  They look at the pretty Christmas lights and take photos…or is that just me?

I like the restraint shown in decorating the town.  Just white lights.  Nothing too gaudy.

Outside of the town centre, it’s a different story. I see plenty of examples of questionable taste on my drive to and from work. I was going to stop the car and take some photos of some of the Christmas eyesores that I see regularly. However, the temperature was below zero so I decided NOT to suffer in the name of “art”.  But stay tuned.
